Why do some stories become classics? Most often, it’s because they continue to speak to us over the years. That’s certainly true of the three stories in this collection, all of which appeared in the list of The 1001 Short Stories You Must Read Before You Die. But more than that, they have a real (but not so obvious) connection with each other.
